Ingredients
1 cup basmati rice or jasmine rices
2 cups water or broth
1–1½ tsp Curry Flair
1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
1 tbsp butter, oil, or ghee
¼ cup finely chopped onion or shallots
2 cloves garlic, minced
Optional: ½ tsp Flavor Pop
Instructions
Rinse rice: Rinse in strainer until water runs clear. Set aside.
Sauté aromatics: Heat butter, ghee, or oil in a pot over medium heat.
Add onion → cook 3–4 minutes until soft. Add salt.
Add garlic → cook 30–60 seconds until fragrant.Bloom the spice: Add Curry Flair and stir for ~30 seconds to wake up the flavors.
Add rice + liquid: Stir in rinsed rice then saute until well coated in spices. Add water/broth and Flavor Pop if using.
Cook: Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer 15 minutes.
Rest + fluff: Turn off heat, let sit covered 5–10 minutes, then fluff.
